Militaries need to deliver an armoured vehicle capability that has the most appropriate level of protection for mounted troops, that is survivable both for current threats in Afghanistan and also for future operations.

There are a number of options available. Do they buy new platforms? Initiate an extended life contract to overhaul a number of systems within an existing vehicle type in the fleet? Or look at upgrading specific armour systems?

Each option provides the military with a level of increased protection and survivability for their troops and assets. However the question remains: which is the most suitable option and how can YOUR solutions fit their specific needs?

Your military customer also needs to ensure the right level of mobility and payload to deliver desired mission effect and at the same time as increasing the survivability chances of the vehicle asset.

Again they are faced with choices: Tender a requirement of either wheeled or tracked IFVs – each with its own strengths and strategic limitations, or alternatively upgrade the weapons systems on their existing assets to deliver increased lethality?

Could YOUR product offering make the difference between mission success and failure for your operational commander, who depends on having a well protected and flexible vehicle?

A military vehicle programme manager needs to make sure that the vehicle assets deployed have tactical ISTAR capability and C2 between both mounted and dismounted assets, ensuring shared situational awareness for mission success.

Here the military are faced with stark choices as modernisation of an entire fleet under NEC principles just isn’t realistic. Do they integrate some limited C2 capability into their vehicles or increase ISTAR equipment such as electro-optic systems?

How are you going to ensure that YOU are seen as the company that has the solutions that can offer such increased capability and yet be suitable for the vehicles your military customers have?

Vehicle survivability is the platform for you if you have the products which are going to make the difference for your customers' vehicle survivability
