Survivability Solution Awards 2011
The Survivability Solution Awards were created to honour and promote the specific products, services and solutions that have enhanced the protection of service personnel operating across the full range of missions and operations. The second annual Awards winners were announced and presented with their awards during the evening networking dinner at Vehicle Survivability 2011.
The Survivability Solution Awards are for those involved in survivability, mobility, payload, increasing ballistic protection through armour or active protection systems, ensuring in theatre vehicles are sustained in field. The Survivability Solution Awards are designed to recognise excellence in these fields.
Award categories
There are three categories for the 2011 Awards:
Best Military Vehicle Award
This award is for the outstanding vehicle available to the military customer. Judges will consider the product’s design, fielding and how it delivers an integrated survivability package to the crew.

Best Innovative Technology Award
This award is for the outstanding development in the field of vehicle survivability. Judges will consider the potential for the technology and its contribution to overall risk mitigation.

Military Recognition Award
This award is for the operator or command that has gone above and beyond in the call of duty to enhance the protection of their fellow service personnel. The judges will consider entrants from any area of the military (procurement, training, requirements etc) and not just from operational commands

Clarion Events presented the awards to the organisations that, in the view of the industry, have made a real difference to service personnel in-theatre.

The category winners will receive: dedicated press coverage through Media partners, awards 'winner' logo to go on all corporate material, communication of winning status to Clarion defence database or over 50,000 contacts worldwide.

Panel of experts
We have brought together a broad spectrum of independent experts, who either specialise in a particular field, or who have experience and insight into different aspects of the industry. The judges will review and score all the qualifying entries and compile a short-list and an overall winner from each category.
The judges will rely exclusively on the information provided by the award entrant. Our judges will be looking to see how the product, service or solution has been a success against the objectives, taking into account how it stands out from the rest of the market. Entries will also be judged on creativity and how clear and concise the entry is. The panel will also have the right to make nominations, except those in any way connected with their own organisation, that they believe are relevant or missing from the nominations.
