3d Radar

3d-Radar manufactures a stepped frequency ground penetrating radar with a unique air coupled antenna array. The antenna attachment is vehicle agnostic and due to the design of the integration, it’s also very easy to mount or dismount the antenna array in field.

When the GPR is coupled with advanced automated detection software and combined with quick vehicle installation and removal, the solution becomes well suited for counter IED/anti tank mine missions.  This integrated system is currently being used by a large US Defense Department agency downrange!

DSM Dyneema DSM Dyneema for Personal & Vehicle Protection

DSM Dyneema is the inventor and manufacturer of Dyneema®, the world’s strongest fiber™.

Dyneema® is an ultra-reliable polyethylene fiber that offers maximum strength combined with minimum weight, and is finding an ever-increasing array of uses in the high-performance demanding life protection sector. Dyneema® is available as unidirectional sheet (UD) for use against ballistic threats.

In this sector, key applications for Dyneema® are highly diverse and range from bullet-resistant vests to helmets and anti-ballistic protection for military and police vehicles. All personal and vehicle protection applications using Dyneema® UD benefit from its unique combination of light weight and high protective ability.

Subsequently, Dyneema® UD used in personal protective equipment and clothing provides for increased comfort due to its lower weight, and is therefore comfortable to wear in extreme circumstances and over long periods of time.

Panel armoring with Dyneema® UD for vehicles offers improved design flexibility, as panels can be custom-shaped. Dyneema® UD is a light weight, cost effective alternative to metal armoring to protect occupants from direct fire, landmine and improvised explosive device (IED) threats. The lower weight of solutions based on Dyneema® UD improve the vehicle’s performance and payload.

FIRE PROTECTION ON ARMORED MILITARY VEHICLES

Kidde Deugra

To save lives is our highest priority. Because of that KIDDE-DEUGRA Brandschutzsysteme GmbH as part of the Kidde Aerospace & Defense group is offering individual solutions for the fire protection on military vehicles, transport engineering and aviation for many years.

As the world’s armed forces face increasing asymmetric threats in urban and out of area missions, experience from past conflicts show that nearly all vehicles destroyed lost their combat capability due to a fire in the crew compartment. The types of threats used have multiplied during recent experiences to include Improvised Explosive Devices, Explosively Formed Penetrators and roadside bombs as well as the threats evolved during the Cold War.

Kidde, a world leader in fire detection and suppression equipment for military vehicles has developed a three-part modular protection system that increases the survivability rate of both the crew and the vehicle and contributes to the duty of care responsibilities of the armed forces:
•    the fire fighting system (FFS) for the engine and/or APU compartment
•    the fire /explosion suppression system (FSS)for the crew compartment
•    the external fire fighting system (ExFFS) for the wheel bay or track area, the under floor and roof area

Kidde has developed these modular subsystems to address these various fire threats to minimize crew casualties in today’s conflicts. The subsystems can be applied singly or in combination to address the actual threats experienced by specific vehicle operators.

Use of lightweight materials and compact system design has long been a requirement for aircraft systems.  Kidde is applying this experience to the new families of lighter, smaller military vehicles.

Tyron

Whatever the requirement - from standard to extended runflats, with or without Tyre Pressure Monitoring, we supply the most advanced systems and can offer local support throughout the world.

Unique Safety Bands for Ambush get away:

Tyron safety bands where original developed and used by the Royal Ordnance Constabulary (RUC) back in the late 1970’s. In 2002 Tyron re-designed and patented a new Tyron Multiband which is adjustable for height to accommodate the changing designs in wheel wells. The handling performance of the vehicle is improved due to the ‘plug in’ feet which create extra ‘grip’ between the Tyron band and the wheel outperforming all other Safety Band designs. The Multiband is fitted by the MOD, is NATO approved, and now specified by Police and Ambulance services throughout the world to help give control and short runflat capability in the case of tyre failure.

All-terrain extended runflat (ATR) system:

The Tyron ATR is the world’s first bulletproof two and three-piece steel reinforced rubber runflat system for all-terrain vehicles. Its unique, flexible characteristics has been independently tested and shown to outperform the alternatives in both distance and durability. Each extended runflat system is designed with unique elements dependant on the application and performance requirements of the customer.
